Упрощённая реализация NTP для систем типа принт-серверов, которым не требуется очень точное время. Отличается от полной версии тем, что не учитывает погрешность собственных часов клиента. Со стороны, клиенты и серверы SNTP выглядят как их полноценные NTP-собратья.
